Mary Graham Children's Shelter Expansion
San Joaquin County Capital Projects Division
The San Joaquin County Mary Graham Children’s Shelter Expansion Project, Phases 1 and 2, expanded the existing facilities for the San Joaquin County Child Protective Services located on the County’s campus on Mathews Road in French Camp. The completed project consists of nine buildings totaling approximately 41,000 square feet on an eight acre site. The complex includes living cottages, an administration center, Child Advocacy Center, visitor building, a school and an arts building. The civil design for the project improvements included site demolition, grading, parking expansion, utilities, drainage, paving and concrete flatwork. The project required extensive coordination with the Architect, the Electrical Engineer and the Mechanical Engineer to insure that the Phase 1 site improvements would be sized and located to connect to the subsequent building improvements in Phase 2 of the project. The total cost of the project was approximately $8,100,000.00.
