Interstate 5/French Camp Road Interchange Improvement Project

The Interstate 5/French Camp Road Interchange Improvement Project consist of the construction of a new eight lane industrial expressway extending approximately 1½ miles from Performance Drive west to Interstate 5, and the reconstruction of the I-5 and French Camp Interchange.  Kjeldsen, Sinnock & Neudeck, Inc. (KSN) was retained by HDR Engineering, Inc. to provide the surveying, mapping and right-of-way engineering services for the PS&E phase of the project.  KSN provided aerial based topographic mapping, ground surveys, utility research and right-of-way mapping for the project.  KSN coordinated with CalTrans and submitted mapping for review and approval, performed all necessary field surveys to supplement the design efforts including ground surveys on I-5, which required lane closures and additional CalTrans encroachment permits.  Lane additions and ramp modifications along I-5 required design support ground surveys to determine the as-built conditions at bridge crossings and transition points for planned improvements.  Upon approval of the design geometrics by CalTrans, KSN prepared the appraisal maps and final right-of-way acquisition documents for the project.
