McDonald Island Camp 21 Pump Station

KSN designed, bid, and managed the construction of the McDonald Island Camp 21 Pump Station replacement project. This project consisted of designing a new replacement structure to accommodate future levee improvements on McDonald Island. The new pumping plant was constructed of driven piles, with a steel pump platform. The platform was designed to accommodate two 10,000 gallon per minute vertical drainage pumps, with room for a third pump. 30” diameter welded steel discharge piping for the two pumps was provided with flow meters. The new pump station required coordination of a new electrical service and design of a new pump station inlet structure with a 72” inlet pipe. KSN’s CM staff provided management and inspection of this $1.2M project during construction.
